Consent Rate

Consent rate describes the proportion of a defined group of visitors who make a particular consent choice, such as accepting an optional analytics category.

Consent rate describes the proportion of a defined group of visitors who make a particular consent choice, such as accepting an optional analytics category. The result depends on the denominator, period, interface, and whether no-response visits are included. It is different from Google Consent Mode, which communicates consent states to supported tags. A small service website may use consent-rate reporting to check whether its preference interface is understandable, not to pressure people into accepting tracking. Avoid dark patterns and respect users who decline or later change their choices. Consent percentages alone cannot establish that a site complies with privacy laws.
