Click-to-Call Sticky Bar
A click-to-call sticky bar is a mobile website control that keeps a phone-call action visible as a visitor scrolls, often near the bottom of the screen.
A click-to-call sticky bar gives visitors an easy route from reading to calling. It typically uses a telephone link, clear action text, and a fixed or sticky position so the option remains visible on a small screen. For emergency repairs or same-day service, that convenience can matter when someone is comparing prices and wants to speak with a person immediately.
Good implementation begins with the visitor, not the button. The bar should not cover the consent controls, checkout fields, accessibility widgets, or page content. Its tap target needs sufficient size and spacing, it should work with keyboard navigation and screen readers, and the telephone number should be accurate. On some devices the call opens a confirmation prompt; a tap is not the same as a connected conversation.
A company can measure clicks on its `tel:` link, but should distinguish them from answered calls, qualified enquiries, and booked jobs. A sticky call action might be appropriate on emergency-service pages but intrusive on detailed guides where users want to compare options. It is a conversion interface component, not a stand-alone SEO ranking technique or a substitute for clearly listed contact details.
