Click-to-Call Button

A click-to-call button is a link or button that opens a device's phone dialer with a business number ready to call. On a mobile site for a lawn care company, it can reduce the steps between finding the number and making contact. The button should be clearly labeled and should not disguise a different action. On desktops, behavior may depend on whether calling software is installed. Tracking a click on the button can help measure interest, but it does not prove a call was connected, answered, or became a customer. Those outcomes require different forms of measurement.
