Chrome User Experience Report (CrUX)
The Chrome User Experience Report (CrUX) is a Google dataset of aggregated real-user web performance experiences from eligible Chrome users.
Chrome User Experience Report, usually shortened to CrUX, summarizes how eligible real Chrome users experience public websites. It is a source of field data for Core Web Vitals, including loading, responsiveness, and layout stability. Unlike a single Lighthouse audit, CrUX represents aggregated experiences across devices and connection conditions rather than a laboratory run on one simulated setup.
CrUX is available through Google tools such as PageSpeed Insights, dedicated APIs, and other reporting interfaces. Some reports use a rolling 28-day collection window, so a fix deployed yesterday may not immediately change the published field-data distribution. Coverage has eligibility and data-volume conditions: a small website, individual URL, or newly published page may have no reportable page-level data even when it functions properly.
For local service companies, compare comparable page groups and device types before treating a score change as an improvement. Use lab testing to diagnose a possible cause, and CrUX or first-party real user monitoring to check whether visitors actually experienced the change. Neither a single green metric nor the absence of CrUX data proves that a site converts well or ranks highly.
