CAPTCHA
CAPTCHA is a challenge or assessment intended to distinguish automated interaction from human use, often to reduce form abuse and spam.
CAPTCHA is used around account creation, contact forms, logins and other workflows that automated scripts can abuse. Some implementations ask people to solve a visual puzzle; others analyze interaction signals or device context, sometimes without presenting a visible challenge. It is a form of abuse friction, not proof that every successful submission came from a genuine customer.
CAPTCHA creates trade-offs. An inaccessible image or audio puzzle can block legitimate users, especially people using assistive technology. It can also frustrate mobile visitors and add time to a quote request. A site should combine appropriate rate limiting, server-side validation, monitoring and other defenses rather than treating the challenge as a complete security system.
This is the general concept. Accessible CAPTCHA is the related design problem of ensuring that an anti-bot mechanism does not exclude disabled users. The two topics should be linked without duplicating their scope. Before selecting a product, evaluate privacy implications, reliability, bypass risks and accessible alternatives.
