Brand Guidelines

Brand guidelines document how a business presents itself across websites, proposals, social channels, and other materials.

Brand guidelines document how a business presents itself across websites, proposals, social channels, and other materials. They may cover logo variations, colors, typography, image choices, voice, and examples of appropriate usage. For a small landscaping company, basic guidelines can keep estimate documents and web pages recognizable even when different people create them. Guidelines are broader than a content style guide, which focuses mainly on editorial choices and language conventions. A useful guide should be specific enough to prevent avoidable inconsistency without making routine updates difficult. It does not need to be a lengthy corporate brand book.
