Bounce Rate (GA4)
In Google Analytics 4, bounce rate is the percentage of sessions that were not engaged sessions.
In Google Analytics 4, bounce rate is the percentage of sessions that were not engaged sessions. An engaged session lasts longer than 10 seconds, has a key event, or includes at least two page or screen views. This differs from some older explanations of bounce rate that focus only on a single page view. If a visitor opens a handyman phone number and leaves quickly, the metric alone may not explain whether the visit was useful. Bounce rate is the inverse of engagement rate under GA4's current definitions, not a direct measure of customer satisfaction. Read it alongside traffic sources, key events, and the purpose of the page.
