Booking No-Show Rate

Booking no-show rate measures the share of scheduled appointments that customers fail to attend or make possible without adequate notice.

Booking no-show rate measures the share of scheduled appointments that customers fail to attend or make possible without adequate notice. A common calculation divides counted no-shows by eligible scheduled appointments over the same period, then multiplies by 100. A service business must define whether cancellations, weather delays, or provider-initiated changes are excluded before comparing results. A high rate may waste travel time and crew capacity, but it does not explain the cause on its own. This is different from general booking cancellation rate or capacity utilization. Appointment reminders, clear arrival windows, and accurate confirmation messages can be evaluated alongside the metric.
