Better Business Bureau (BBB) Profile
A Better Business Bureau (BBB) Business Profile is a public listing that can show a company’s BBB rating, complaint history, customer reviews and accreditation status.
BBB publishes Business Profiles for accredited and non-accredited businesses. The presence of a profile therefore does not itself mean the business is accredited, and an A+ rating does not require accreditation. BBB describes accreditation as voluntary and distinct from its rating. Customers should inspect the profile's actual status rather than assume that a logo or an online listing proves endorsement.
Business owners can review the accuracy of profile identity details and respond professionally to genuine complaints using the available BBB processes. Potential customers can examine complaint patterns and responses alongside other research. A profile offers a third-party source of information, not a comprehensive inspection of a company's license, insurance, service quality or legal standing.
A BBB profile is not the same platform as Google Business Profile, and changes to one listing do not automatically update the other. Accreditation fees do not buy a favorable rating, according to BBB. This entry should describe what users may see and how to interpret it, without implying that BBB ratings are Google ranking factors.
