Attribution Window

An attribution window defines the period in which an interaction may be eligible to receive credit for a later conversion, according to a particular measurement system's rules.

An attribution window defines the period in which an interaction may be eligible to receive credit for a later conversion, according to a particular measurement system's rules. Someone could click a marketing link, compare lawn care providers, and book several days afterward. Whether the earlier interaction receives credit may depend on the platform's attribution settings and the type of event being measured. Different tools and report configurations may use different windows, so identical business activity can produce different attributed totals. The window does not describe how long a customer took to decide in every case. Record the chosen settings when comparing campaigns, and check the platform's current terminology before interpreting a report.
