Appointment Waitlist

An appointment waitlist is a process for recording customers who would like an earlier or currently unavailable service time. If a cleaning company is booked for the week, it may offer to contact interested customers when a cancellation creates an opening. The system should make clear whether joining the list is a request for notification or a confirmed booking. It also needs a way to manage priorities, availability, contact permission, and removal from the list. A waitlist differs from an appointment availability calendar, which shows bookable openings now. It can help recover unused capacity, but it should not promise a time slot until the business actually reserves and confirms it.
