Accordion (UI)

An accordion is an interface component with headings that expand or collapse sections of content.

An accordion is an interface component with headings that expand or collapse sections of content. A cleaning service could use one to display detailed explanations of what's included in different cleaning packages without showing every paragraph at once. An accordion can appear on a FAQ page, a service page, or another type of page; it is not a content category by itself. Headings should be understandable even when panels are closed, and controls should work with both pointer and keyboard input. Hiding information in accordions can make long pages easier to scan, but important details should not become difficult to find or access.
