Accessible CAPTCHA
An accessible CAPTCHA approach aims to prevent automated abuse without unnecessarily excluding people who use assistive technology or have visual, hearing, motor, or cognitive disabilities.
An accessible CAPTCHA approach aims to prevent automated abuse without unnecessarily excluding people who use assistive technology or have visual, hearing, motor, or cognitive disabilities. Traditional image puzzles can block legitimate customers from submitting a request for lawn care or repairs. Alternatives may include low-friction risk checks, server-side defenses, and carefully designed challenges with equivalent accessible options. No CAPTCHA type is automatically accessible in every implementation. Evaluate it with keyboard use, screen readers, and realistic error paths, and consider the privacy implications of third-party protection services. Reducing spam should not make the contact form impossible for real customers to complete.
