Above the Fold
Above the fold refers to the portion of a webpage visible before someone scrolls.
Above the fold refers to the portion of a webpage visible before someone scrolls. The phrase comes from print newspapers, but on websites the visible area depends on screen size, browser settings, and device orientation. For a cleaning service, the first screen might need to establish the main service, general coverage, and a clear way to request information. It does not need to contain every benefit, review, and service detail. Visitors can and do scroll when the page gives them a reason to continue. Treat the first visible section as an introduction, not a rigid pixel boundary or a guarantee that an element will be noticed.
