302 Redirect
A 302 redirect is an HTTP response that sends a visitor or browser from one URL to another while indicating that the move is temporary.
A 302 redirect is an HTTP response that sends a visitor or browser from one URL to another while indicating that the move is temporary. It can be appropriate when a page is briefly unavailable or a short-lived test directs visitors to another version. Because the original location is expected to return, search engines generally treat the temporary signal differently from a permanent 301 redirect. For example, a contractor should not automatically use a 302 when permanently replacing an outdated service URL. Choosing the redirect should reflect the intended duration, and the destination should make sense to the visitor. A redirect does not fix unrelated content or site-quality problems.
